PLASAFE Lifeguard Training is only offered to facilities that participate in the Best Practices Risk Management Program.

Plasafe best practices risk management program requires:

  • Manager/s must attend Lifeguard Management Training (4 hours)
  • Lifeguard information to begin online training must be provided at least 10 days prior to training
  • Facility must ensure that facility has the required equipment as per Texas State Aquatic Code 
    • ​Backboard with head immobilizer, rescue tubes, airway barriers.
  • Lifeguards must participate in inservice training as per Texas State Aquatic Code (4hrs/month)
  • Facility must maintain inservice in the StarGuard Elite Portal
